PURE STOCK RULES UPDATE
All 4 wheels must have the same size tire, no mixing of sizes
The pure stock division was created as a fun low dollar entry division
The intent was for people to find a beater fwd 4cyl, knock the glass out and go have some fun. We wanted to keep the rules simple so everybody could come out and enjoy themselves without worrying about wether their car was legal and would pass inspection. Most asphalt racing divisions use engine size, compression ratio, induction limits, minimum car weights, etc, to keep everyone equal.
Simple rules have big loopholes that some people try to exploit like swapping in more powerful engines, running fwd sportscars, and even trying to race with limited production factory built SCCA road race cars.
Instead of writing engine size, compression ratio, induction limits, minimum car weights, to keep everyone equal. We are going to try a simple solution.
The racetrack reserves the right to refuse to let any car compete that we feel has a competitive advantage over the field at our discretion. We are not going to get into what car came with what engine or checking vin #'s or anything else we don't have the time, the technical expertise (we would have know specs on every domestic and import make and model made in the last 25 years) or the manpower.
This is a new division; we don't have all the answers all we can do is address the problems, as they become apparent. As the car speeds and wrecks increased we made door bars and safety harnesses mandatory, when Ford Probes became too fast we banned them.
What this means if a car continually races up from the back to the front and wins easily he may be asked not to run that car again.
What to do to keep this from happening to you;
*Don't buy a high horsepower sports type vehicle.
*Don't buy a limited production factory built racecar
*Make sure the car has the correct engine and drive train.
*Buy what everybody else is running.
*Come have fun and enjoy the evening.

Turbo Stox: Breakout Rule
Breakout rule for Illiana Speedway Turbo Stocks as follows.
Breakout rule is 3/10th of a second. If you race 3/10th faster then your established time then you break out and are disqualified for that race.
How this affects the heat race...
Your qualifying time is your breakout time. If you race 3/10th faster in the heat race you are disqualified. Your fastest lap in the heat race will be your new breakout time for the feature. You have no option of starting at the tail of the heat race.

If you race 3/10th faster then your new breakout time you will be disqualified. Regardless of your breakout time, any driver has the option of electing to start at the tail of the feature if they feel they will breakout for any reason. If you elect to start at the tail of the feature and breakout, you will not be disqualified. Top 10 finishers will have their times checked in the feature.
