GENERAL: This class of car has been developed to permit those desiring to try stock car racing to do so at an absolute minimum cost. Races for this class may, and will be run clockwise, counter clockwise, as a road coarse, on a wet down track or other novel ways, along with a passenger from time to time. This is a production division, unless specifically listed below as an allowable modification; you may not change or modify the car or parts in ANYWAY. All IMS general rules apply.
DRIVERS: Insurance requires that you must be at least 14 years old and have a signed parental waiver on file with the speedway; you will be required to show proof upon registering to race your first time out and a record and copy will be kept on file, if you are caught driving with out a proof on file, the car you are driving will become the property of the speedway and you will be permanently removed from the grounds.
DRIVING: THIS IS NOT A DEMOLITION DERBY! IF YOU INSIST ON ROUGH DRIVING YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE, THIS IS A LOW BUDGET DIVISION TO LEARN HOW TO DRIVE A RACE CAR, NOT HOW TO DESTROY ONE.
CLAIMS: This is a claimer class. The claim will include the entire car. The claim amount is $1000.00 outright by the track. Refusal of claim will suspend car and driver for four racing programs with loss of points and money on claim night.
1. Four cylinder front wheel drive cars are eligible as follows. Wheelbase must be between 92-103 inches. No all wheel drive. No allwheel steer. Water only in radiator.
2. All exterior trim, including lights, body moldings, mirrors, etc. must be removed. Stock body panels are to be used. Only stock bumpers may be used. Drivers and passenger door must be welded or bolted shut. Cars must have stock frame, stock firewall, and stock floor pan. All openings in firewall & floor pan must be covered. No reinforcing of body outside the drivers compartment. Hood must be secured with a minimum of two hood pins each. All glass must be removed from the vehicle except front windshield. Front windshield may be replaced with lexan Side windows may go no further back than 12” from the corner of the A-Post and must go straight up at a 90 degree angle from the door. Spoilers will be allowed Stock or Aftermarket a aftermarket spoiler can only be five inches tall and 50 inches wide.
3. All flammable interior trim is to be removed from passenger compartment & trunk. No removal of ANY interior sheet metal panels except in drivers door to make room for cage. Heating and air conditioning box may be removed. If a stock seat is used, all adjustment points must be welded or bolted into place. RACING SEAT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Steering column and pedals must remain stock. After market column and removable wheel may be used but must have at least 2 heims in the column and may NOT be a straight shaft. All air bag components must be removed.
4. A full four or six point cage is required. All cars must have a minimum of three door bars on the driver’s side and two on passenger side. It is recommended that a minimum 1/8” thick plate must be welded or bolted to the outside of the driver’s door bars. Cages must be welded or bolted to the floor of the car. All cars must have crush zones bars can not go all the way to rear of trunk area if tied to strut tower. A maximum of two rear down bars may be used to support the hoop. These bars may run from the top of the hoop behind the driver and extend to the trunk area. A single cross bar or "X" may be used between these down bars. Rear down bars MUST be attached to the trunk FLOOR. Main cage must have at least two bars running from left to right, between the uprights, behind the driver; One at floor level, and one at shoulder height of the driver.
5. A racing seat may be used in place of stock drivers seat. If used, seat shall be mounted to roll cage. A five-point race harness shall be used on all cars. Not more than 3 years old. Harness shall also be mounted to cage. All cars must have a driver’s side window net. Window net must be able to unlatch for easy driver exit or access of safety personnel, and must be mounted to the cage. All drivers are to wear a full, clean fire suit. Gloves must be worn. A Snell approved helmet (minimum 2000 rated) must be worn. A form of head / neck restraint or support is highly recommended. This can be anything from a neck collar, to a full Hans device. Main Shut-Off switch for electric fuel pump must be easily accessible by Safety Personnel, and clearly labeled as such. All safety items and approval shall be left to the discretion of officials.
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: REQUIRED: Each vehicle must be equipped with a charged 2 pound minimum BC rated steel fire extinguisher with gauge, mounted in a quick release bracket with reach of the driver.
6. All four tires and wheels must be the same size, series and offset. D.O.T. approved passenger car tires only. No "made for racing" tires, no low profile tires. All tires must non- Directional, All Season Radials. No Asymmetrical tires. Tires can be 13, 14, or 15 inches maximum.
They can be 75, 70, 65, or 60 series. A maximum of seven-inch width for 15-inch wheels and six and one half inches for 14-inch wheels. All four wheels must be the same size and offset. Racing wheels are allowed (NOT required), but must maintain same size and offset as OEM. No rear wheel drive offset wheels will be allowed. No spacers will be allowed behind wheels.
7. Steering and suspension shall remain stock. OEM style shocks, struts, and springs ONLY may be used. No heating or cutting of spring allowed. Spring Rubbers will be allowed (1 per wheel). No progressive rate springs will be allowed. For cars that do not have camber adjustments built in from the factory, modification of existing parts, to allow for camber only adjustments will be allowed, but subject to approval.
8. All four brakes must remain stock. ABSOLUTELY NO ABS OR TRACTION CONTROL. All ABS sensors must be disabled.
9. Cars that have fuel tank mounted in front of rear axle may use stock tank. If tank is not mounted in front of rear axle, a fuel cell or marine type tank must be used and securely mounted in the trunk area of the car. Trunk mounted tanks cannot be mounted within ten inches of the rear trunk panel and may not extend beyond the side frame rails. All fuel tank installations must be centered between the rear wheels.
10. Only four cylinder naturally aspirated engines will be allowed. No rotary engines. Only the complete stock engine for the car as delivered from the factory. Air cleaner must remain in tack and Stock. Stock intake manifold must be used with no modifications. Stock exhaust manifold must be used with no modifications. No Headers, even if delivered from factory. Removal of smog, emission, air conditioning, and power steering parts are permitted. Must use stock style starter. Battery may be relocated to an area behind driver. If so it must be secured & covered. Transmission must remain stock and unmodified for that vehicle’s production. Transmission must have working forward and reverse gears.
11. EXHAUST: MANDATORY: A complete leak free, tight exhaust system with a maximum size of 2" o.d. must include a stock muffler. MUST EXIT OUT THE REAR OF CAR. Removal or gutting of catalytic converter allowed. Loss of muffler will be grounds for black flag. Decibel limit 85.
(Muffler to be mounted behind rear axle exiting out the rear or the car, must be securely mounted, a complete exhaust must be in place completely under vehicle. No portion of exhaust may pass through interior and must exit vehicle out by back bumper. NO WEIGHT OR BALLASTS ARE TO BE ADDED TO CAR.
12. Pump Gas only, 97 octane or less. Race gas not permitted. No additives, boosters, nitrous systems allowed
13. NUMBERS: Minimum 18" high numbers in a contrasting color are required on both doors and the roof of the car along with a 6" high number on the upper Right (passengers side) corner of windshield. Numbers MUST be pre-registered with speedway. If the tower is unable to read your number, you will not be scored.
14. TOW HOOKS: REQUIRED: A secure towing device (hook, cable, etc.) must be installed both front and rear. Securely fastened and located so as not to be a hazard in the event of contact.
15. RADIOS: Two-way radios are not allowed.
16. ALL RULES AND INTERPRETATION ARE SUBJECT TO THE DISCRETION OF OFFICIALS. RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAFETY OR COMPETITION. If you are found not in compliance with these rules, you may be subject to sanctions up to and including disqualification from the event. If disqualified from an event, you forfeit all points and money from that event. No refunds for entries or pit passes will be issued.
17. KEEPING CAR IN THE PITS DURING THE WEEK
You will be allowed to keep your car at the track during the week. You must meet these guidelines. If your leaving a car in the pits you need to bring the title to THAT car and a $50 refundable deposit and bring it to the main office. Both items will go in an envelope along with your name and car number and be held in the track office. It will be returned to you at the end of the racing season after you take your car out of the pits. If you don't have a title then a $150 refundable deposit will be needed. If any cars are left in the pits without meeting these guidelines then it will be towed during the week. We are not responsible for any cars left in the pits with or without these guidelines. All cars must be removed no later then a week after the final race date. If not the car will be towed and your deposit will not be refunded. Any questions on this please ask.
18. In 2010, You must own and maintain an AMB X-160 transponder for your car if you want to be scored, rentals will not be available for this division, you may purchase a transponder from the speedway at cost, and they will need to be charged before use.
19. No driver registered in another division may compete in this class.
20. Effective in 2010 previous year champion may not compete.
21. No made for racing production cars allowed.

If it didn't come stock on the car and is not listed above of things that can be altered it will be deemed ILLEGAL and you WILL be disqualified.
