The rules and regulations set forth are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.
Continuous developments in racing may necessitate changes that we cannot anticipate at the time the rules are formulated. We may if necessary, update, modify, or add to these rules during the season! The -EXCEPT IN RARE INSTANCES' (EIRI) Rule is applicable and in affect at all times. NO EXPRESSED, OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS.
Late Models,(with crate engine package) Spoiler reduced to 5" Max, car to weight 2725, effective June 13, 2009
ALL Divisions, if you get wrecked during a heat race it is up to you to make sure the car weights in properly for the feature, if you scale in light you will be disqualified.
Limited Late Models, Ignition boxes must be mounted to the far side of the car, out of the drivers reach

7. Steering and suspension shall remain stock. OEM style shocks, struts, and springs ONLY may be used. No heating or cutting of spring allowed. Spring Rubbers will be allowed (1 per wheel). No progressive rate springs will be allowed. For cars that do not have camber adjustments built in from the factory, modification of existing parts, to allow for camber only adjustments will be allowed, but subject to approval.
11. EXHAUST: MANDATORY: A complete leak free, tight exhaust system with a maximum size of 2" o.d. must include a stock muffler. MUST EXIT OUT THE REAR OF CAR. Removal or gutting of catalytic converter allowed. Loss of muffler will be grounds for black flag. Decibel limit 85.
(Muffler to be mounted behind rear axle exiting out the rear or the car, must be securely mounted, a complete exhaust must be in place completely under vehicle. No portion of exhaust may pass through interior and must exit vehicle out by back bumper. NO WEIGHT OR BALLASTS ARE TO BE ADDED TO CAR.
16. ALL RULES AND INTERPRETATION ARE SUBJECT TO THE DISCRETION OF OFFICIALS. RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAFETY OR COMPETITION. If you are found not in compliance with these rules, you may be subject to sanctions up to and including disqualification from the event. If disqualified from an event, you forfeit all points and money from that event. No refunds for entries or pit passes will be issued.

If it didn't come stock on the car and is not listed above of things that can be altered it will be deemed ILLEGAL and you WILL be disqualified.
Turbo Stox:
The track whistler numbers will be the final ruling on this change
Any Grundy County Speedway cars may race with us, as a starting point add 100# to a car with screw jacks and/or headers, this will be adjusted accordingly.
No Impala or Caprice's will allowed to compete.
Compression ratio 10.0to1 maximum with a .01 tolerance. Engines must cool down to below 200 degrees before testing to assure accurate readings.
Minimum Age Requirements
Minimum age for competitors an IMS shall be thirteen (13) years of age on the 1/2 mile track. All competitors,regardless of age must have a minimum of one-year (1) of competition in an a Late Model Series type car; a weekly local track Late Model program; other approved touring sanctioning body cars or trucks; and subject to approval by the IMS Competition Committee. All competitors maybe required to take a written and/or driving ability test under the guidance of the IMS Competition Committee. For age limits on the 1/4 mile track ask at the Pit office.
Competitors under eighteen (18) years of age must have on file in the Illiana Office a signed Parental Release Form and Parental Hold Harmless document.
